Context

Two new programmes.
Two brands built
from scratch.

Within my 4.5 years as embedded creative director at Family Foundations Canada and the Family Dream Institute, two significant brand creation projects stood out as distinct from the ongoing seminar and campaign work: the Personal Communication Plan and the Mighty Man Network.

Both were new programmes being launched within existing organizations. Both needed identities that felt distinct from the parent brand while remaining clearly connected to the same family. Both gave me the opportunity to function not just as an executor but as a genuine brand creator — starting from a concept and building a complete visual system around it.

Brand One

Personal Communication Plan.
From concept to
complete brand.

The Personal Communication Plan (PCP) is a programme built around the Life Languages framework — helping individuals and couples understand their communication style and build stronger relationships. The brief: create a brand that felt playful, quirky, and approachable. Different in energy from the more serious seminar content FFC was known for.

The logo is an abstract speech bubble — immediately communicating the subject matter while remaining flexible enough to function as a graphic element within the design system itself. The logo became both identity and asset, appearing as a compositional element across social graphics, presentations, and web pages.

Teal and orange — warm, energetic, optimistic. The combination gives PCP a sense of movement that matches the programme's promise: that communication can get better, and the journey can actually be enjoyable.

Brand Two

Mighty Man Network.
A men's movement
that needed a mark.

In 2023 I was asked to create the brand for the Mighty Man Network — a faith-based community for men being launched within the Family Dream Institute ecosystem. The brief asked for something that felt strong, faith-grounded, and masculine — but not aggressive or exclusionary. A brand that a man would be proud to associate with. Something with weight.

The Mighty Man Network identity needed to stand on its own while connecting to the broader FDI family. The visual direction draws on strength, brotherhood, and the imagery of men being equipped for something that matters.

The Rite of Passage camp — which had existed for several years — transitioned into the Mighty Man brand system. All the camp creative work (presentation design, video promos, campaign graphics, social media) now carried the Mighty Man identity.

  • Mighty Man Leadership Network — distinct sub-brand logo
  • Camp brochures, video promos, social graphics

What This Demonstrates

Brand creation inside
an existing organization.

Creating a brand in isolation is one thing. Creating a brand that needs to live alongside an existing identity — feeling fresh but not foreign, new but not disconnected — requires a different kind of creative thinking.

Both the PCP and Mighty Man projects also demonstrate what a complete brand launch looks like in practice. Not just a logo. Not just a style guide. A full system of assets that allows an organization to show up consistently from day one across every channel and format they use.

That coherence doesn't happen by accident. It happens when a single creative mind holds the whole system together from concept through execution.

and need a brand to match
the vision?

A complete brand — not just a logo. Built to last from day one.
